Description
The Convention on Biological Diversity, adopted during the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, promotes biodiversity, sustainable use, and the sharing of benefits arising out of the utilization of genetic resources. The Convention provides for national reporting of efforts to implement the provisions of the Convention.
