The objectives of this side event at the Bali conference are:

- Identify barriers to diffusion and transfer of clean technology needed to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, and how best to overcome them.

- Discuss how to minimise such barriers, including laws on intellectual property rights, and lack of capacity and resources in emerging and developing countries.

- Explore roles public-private partnership projects can play in technology transfer.
