The organization mainly embarks on capacity building of local communities. The objective of the organization is to find innovative ways to help groups in the Sahel secure their rights. SOS Sahel further brings the facts about poverty in the region to the attention of policy-makers. It facilitates environmental security through its program to support pro-environment decision making and encourages collaboration and experience-sharing of African institutions.
