Helpage is a nongovernment, nonprofit regional organization that works with other development partners to enhance participatory approaches to improve conditions in local communities. The Helpage mission is to find ways and means for local support of the rural environment and other initiatives through training and capacity building among farmers' organizations.
Helpage helps reduce poverty by creating employment that brings money to rural environments through labor-intensive jobs that improve local conditions. Helpage seeks to improve the socioeconomic infrastructure and agricultural production in rural areas through environmental protection and better management of natural resources. Helpage also helps restore or improve the socioeconomic conditions of vulnerable groups.
