Description

IFDC is a non-profit international center that provides a broad range of services in technical assistance, research, training, and problem solving. Its results-oriented projects cover specialties from agribusiness to engineering and technology development, from management information systems to plant nutrient management, policy reform, and market development.

IFDC provides practical solutions to the challenges confronting the decision makers of the world's public and private agricultural sectors in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. The Center has conducted technology transfer activities in more than 120 countries. IFDC has contributed to the development of human resources and institutional capacity building in 150 countries through more than 600 training programs.

Its cadre of scientists and professionals provide a unique mix of applied research and technology transfer capabilities. The Center's facilities include libraries, laboratories, greenhouses, pilot plant and training facilities.

Besides its Headquarters in Muscle Shoals (USA), IFDC has offices and/or staff stationed in Afghanistan, Albania, Bangladesh, Belgium, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tajikistan, and Togo.
