Description
The journal has been launched to report on The Hague as the “City of International Law” covering developments at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and several other institutions including the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Interpol, Europol and the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal, as well as many other legal institutions and NGOs.
The publication will also include articles by prominent experts in their respective fields of international law as well as information on important international conferences held in the city and coverage of The Hague as a city of international culture.
The pilot edition include articles on:
- The Hague Environmental Law Facility
- The International Criminal Court and domestic jurisdictions - Building a bridge between theory and practice
- Geneva Conventions still going strong at 60
A website is in the planning to include summaries of articles in English, Arabic, Dutch, French, Russian or Spanish.
